There is lots going on in and around the area, with a wide range of events from street markets to horse racing. There are pipe bands regularly playing throughout the season – of course! And Highland Games are another popular happening, with Blairgowrie and Strathardle as major features on the Games calendar.
Just one example from the season’s sporting fixtures is the annual Scottish Mixed Foursomes Golf Week, played across five of the area’s courses and ideal for couples of all golfing abilities.

2010 is the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Burgh of Perth when in 1210 King William the Lion granted the Royal Charter. To mark this during 2010 Perth & Kinross Council will deliver, facilitate and support a year long programme of events that will celebrate this anniversary.
